There is a new Arts market called "Cicadas" on the main road heading towards Hua Hin next to the Hyatt. It's open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from late afternoon.A lovely market, quite different from the usual T-Shirts, Sunglasses etc markets you
see around Thailand.The atmosphere is really friendly , frequented by both Thai and international visitors, try the out door food court, see live music and concerts where the audience are sometimes invited to join in.
There are some very good Restaurants and Bars near Baan Suanrimsai. One we liked was called Chao Lay which is a Seafood Restaurant although it does have meat and other dishes. One excellent dish is the Fried Chicken and Cashew nuts!! To get to the restaurant, turn left out of the Baan Suanrimsai and it is about 100 metres on the opposite side of the road.
